Telegram is the one platform where a username is a real, transferable asset rather than a setting on an account. Fragment, Telegram's own auction platform, issues usernames as tokens on the TON blockchain — ownership is recorded on-chain and moves without anyone renaming anything.

Why on-chain ownership matters to a buyer
On Instagram or X, a transfer is a release: the seller frees the string and the buyer races to claim it. On Telegram there is no window and no race. The token holding the username moves from one wallet to another, and the name follows.
It also means ownership is verifiable before you pay. We can show you who holds a Telegram username right now, on-chain, rather than asking you to trust a screenshot.
Fragment, and what we are not
Fragment is operated by Telegram. HandlesLine is not affiliated with it, does not control it, and cannot influence what it lists or what it charges. Where a name is on Fragment, that is often the cleanest route and we will say so.
Where we add something is the names that are not on Fragment: handles held privately by a person who has never listed them, which is most of the good ones. Finding the holder, opening the conversation and structuring the deal is the work.
How the purchase runs
You tell us the handle or the tier you want. We confirm availability and price, you pay into escrow, and the transfer is executed — on-chain where the name is tokenised, or through a coordinated handover where it is not. Funds reach the seller once the name is on your account.
Settlement is available in TON and in conventional currency. The escrow does not change with the payment method.
Frequently asked questions
- Are Telegram usernames really owned on a blockchain?
- Those issued through Fragment are. The username is minted as a token on TON and whoever holds the token controls the handle. Usernames set the ordinary way, inside the app, are not tokenised — for those the transfer is a coordinated release, the same as on other platforms.
- Is HandlesLine part of Fragment or Telegram?
- No. We are an independent broker. We have no relationship with Telegram or with Fragment, no ability to influence a listing or an auction, and no special access of any kind.
- Do I need a TON wallet?
- Only for an on-chain transfer of a tokenised username, and we will tell you in advance if that applies. Otherwise no wallet is needed and settlement runs in conventional currency.
- How fast is a Telegram transfer?
- An on-chain transfer settles in minutes once both sides are ready. The 24 to 72 hour figure covers everything around it: verification, escrow funding and scheduling.
- Can you find a Telegram username that is not listed anywhere?
- That is most of what we do. Send us the handle and we will identify the holder and approach them. Plenty decline, and we would rather tell you that in a day than keep you waiting.
