Privacy policy

Last updated 15 August 2026

This site is operated by Flowline LLC, trading as HandlesLine, of Miami, Florida, USA. This policy describes what happens to data when you visit https://www.handlesline.com.

It is deliberately specific. Where a section says nothing is collected, that means nothing is collected — not that it is collected and unmentioned.

What this website collects directly

Nothing. There is no account system, no login, no newsletter form and no contact form anywhere on this site. There is no field in which you can type anything, so there is nothing for us to receive.

Every enquiry reaches us through Telegram, which is a separate service with its own privacy policy. What you send us there is governed by Telegram's terms and by this policy only once it reaches us.

Analytics, and the consent that gates them

Three analytics services can run on this site: PostHog, Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. Each is optional and each is loaded only if it has been configured.

None of them runs before you accept. Google's tags are initialised with Consent Mode v2 set to denied for every storage category, and PostHog's script is not downloaded at all until consent is granted. Declining means the scripts are never fetched, rather than fetched and told to behave.

Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation are set to denied permanently, including after you accept. We do not run advertising or remarketing on this site.

What the analytics record once you accept

  • Pages viewed, referrer, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type.
  • Interactions: which calls to action are clicked, how far down a page you scroll, whether a tab stayed visible for 30 seconds.
  • A PostHog session recording in which every input field is masked. Since the site has no input fields, there is nothing typed to capture.
  • Query strings are stripped from recorded URLs before they are sent, so anything appended to a link never reaches the analytics provider.

Where that data goes

PostHog data is sent to PostHog Inc. in the United States. Requests are proxied through this site's own domain, so the destination is our origin rather than a third-party analytics host — this is done to survive network-level blocking, not to obscure anything, and the data still reaches PostHog.

Google Analytics and Tag Manager data goes to Google. Both companies act as our processors under their standard terms, which include the transfer mechanisms required for EU and UK data.

This site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps short-lived server logs including IP address and user agent. Those logs exist to serve the page and defend against abuse, and are not used for analytics.

Cookies and local storage

Your consent decision is stored in your browser's local storage under the key hl:consent. It is not a cookie and it is never transmitted to us; it exists so the banner does not ask again on every page.

If you accept analytics, PostHog and Google set their own identifiers in cookies and local storage. Declining, or clearing your browser storage, removes them.

How long anything is kept

Analytics retention follows each provider's default: broadly, up to 14 months for Google Analytics and up to 12 months for PostHog event data.

Messages you send us on Telegram are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and to meet record-keeping obligations on a completed transaction.

Your rights

If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict its processing, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent at any time.

Withdrawing consent for analytics takes one action: clear this site's data in your browser, and the banner will ask again on your next visit.

To exercise any other right, message us on Telegram at https://t.me/HandlesLine. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly process data relating to anyone under 16. If you believe we hold such data, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

This policy is updated when what the site does changes. The date at the top of the page is the date of the last substantive change.
